Pol Roger Cuvée Sir Winston Churchill 1999Intense, yellow gold, sparkling with a myriad of fine bubbles - the Pol Roger trade-mark. The nose is structured, forceful but with subtle mineral notes and hints of lemon, white pepper and ginger. Four-square on the palate, mouth filling, robust and powerful. Touches of minerality, even saltiness, with balance, structure and finesse. A long, lingering finish.
Peter Michael Les Pavots2014 Les Pavots greets the eye with a near-black ruby color and vermillion highlights. The nose has a deep bouquet of cacao powder, potpourri, black cherry, blueberry and licorice, with nuances of cedar, cigar box, black tea, graphite, vanilla, black truff le, and a stylish 'garrigue' touch. Extremely full-bodied and elegant, the wine offers the same rich, ripe fruit impressions on the palate. The mouth feel is dense and round, with supple tannins and earthy notes that lead to a long finish. Complex, the wine will age gracefully for two decades and provides a classic presentation of our estate's terroir.
Leonetti Reserve 2012The nose on this wine turns up the volume to 11 (Spinal Tap style). Divinely complex with notes of sweet fresh and dried flowers, balsam, crème brûlée, and vanilla. Pure ripe fruit without being cloying. Background notes of a freshly cut White Fir awaiting Christmas lights. Delicious, incredible length, with a string of perfect acidity coursing throughout and supporting the intense fruit with levity and freshness. Qualitatively, I think this wine is on par with the 2010 but is showing well earlier in its lifespan, offering more immediate drinking pleasure. Remarkably, a small portion of Cabernet from our new Serra Pedace Vineyard contributes to the blend. This is a rarity, in which fruit this young would qualify for the Reserve blend, and bodes incredibly well for the future of this vineyard.
Shafer Relentless 2012This was a classic Napa Valley vintage filled with warm, sunny days and perfect, chilly nights from spring through early autumn. The consistency of heat and coolness created a model growing season in which we harvested fruit at ideal ripeness brimming with rich color and flavor. A bold wine like Relentless complements similar concentrated flavors found in dishes such as Syrah-braised short ribs, smoked lamb with Relentless reduction, roast duck, as well as beef and game. Aged, dry cheeses such as Cheddar, Abbaye De Belloc, and Manchego also pair deliciously.
Tenuta San Guido Sassicaia 2013Intense, concentrated and deep ruby-red, this wine offers complex aromas of red and black fruits, with spice and wild herb notes. In the mouth, the rich flavors are dense, yet elegant, harmonious and graceful, with sweet but firm tannins. With a long finish, this wine's depth and structure will ensure an extraordinary evolution in bottle. Food Pairing: Pair with rich flavors like braised meats, osso bucco and aged, hard cheeses.
Dominus Napa Valley Red 2014Dominus Estate wines are made with an objective of purity, balance and complexity. Minimal intervention and restraint throughout the process of grape berry selection, fermentation and aging preserve the character of the fruit. The resulting wines convey the very personality of the vineyard. Dominus winemaking includes separate lot-by-lot fermentation. Cluster sorting by hand is complemented by an optical berry sorting system. Gentle pumping-over extracts aromas, color and tannins. Vertical wine press at low pressure delicately releases components from the skin. Racking barrel to barrel in 100% french oak removes sediment and assures clarification of the wine during aging. We recommend decanting the wine prior to serving to allow it to develop its full potential. This is especially important when serving young Dominus wines.
Cayuse En Chamberlin Vineyard Syrah2000 saw the planting of 10 more stony acres. Grafted on phylloxera resistant rootstock, it's another first for our region. Cayuse is a domaine located in the Walla Walla Valley. Over the past 20 years, Christophe has made it his mission to craft food-friendly wines of incredible depth, individuality and character-all from fruit grown entirely using biodynamic farming methods.
Charles Smith Skull Syrah 2005
Napanook Red Wine 2014In Napanook 2014 boysenberry, savory thyme and tobacco aromas meet on a lithe palate and linger throughout an elegant finish with fine, firm tannins. Christian Moueix recommends decanting young wines before serving to allow them to reach their full potential.
Staglin Family Vineyard Salus ChardonnayThe translucently gold 2015 Salus Chardonnay is a model of balance and class that wonderfully showcases the interplay between the inherent concentration from our Rutherford location with the cut and verve that comes from our early picks and restricted malolactic fermentation. The nose conjures ripe lemons with hints of lime flesh and pomelo rind spiced by a faint dusting of powdered ginger and a distant rosemary sprig. Like a bobsled, the palate just glides… both weighty and sleek while riding a clean, crisp and refreshing edge.
Orin Swift PapillonAn intense ink with a garnet rim, the wine opens with powerful aromatics of cassis, ripe boysenberry, and chaparral with hints of graphite, sage, fire-roasted meats and fresh brioche. The entry floods the palate with ripe dark fruit flavors of blackberry and black cherries as well as fresh minerality and a touch of kir and crème de menthe. With traces of tannin, the wine finishes with a lingering sweet licorice and a smooth acidity. Overall, this vintage of Papillon truly characterizes the theme-bold and massive yet also delicate and complex.
Wente Vineyards Morning Fog ChardonnayBright and crisp flavors of pear, melon, citrus and green apple are balanced by subtle hints of toasty oak, and vanilla from barrel aging. With mouth-filling body, lingering minerality and balanced acidity, this wine delivers a long, refreshing finish.
Bogle PhantomPhantom, Bogle's mysterious apparition of ripe berry and relentless spice, returns to haunt wine lovers. Full of concentration and intensity, this wine will tease, tantalize and linger long after the last sip is gone. Consistent and well-balanced in the mouth, with fine, elegant tannins. Very enjoyable, ample, elegant finish; mature and pleasant. Pairing: First courses of rice or pasta dishes. Tenuta San Guido Guidalberto 2015Ruby red limpid look, the aromatic range goes from red berries and spices to dark hints of tobacco and brushwood. Moët & Chandon Brut ImperialMoët Impérial is the House's iconic champagne. Created in 1869, it embodies Moët & Chandon's unique style, a style distinguished by its bright fruitiness, its seductive palate and its elegant maturity. Vibrant flavors of tropical fruit, baked apple, citrus and white peach meld with vanilla, baking spices and toasted nuts on the creamy, smooth palate. The finish is juicy with mouthwatering acidity that makes you crave another sip. Our favorite Joy of Cooking® pairings* for this wine include Tuna-Avocado Burgers, Lobster Rolls and Fettuccine with Salmon and Asparagus.
Sine Qua Non Piranha Waterdance SyrahWe are not working on a grape growing or winemaking THESIS. Instead we want all of our efforts to be reflected in every glass of SQN. And so our goal has been and always will be to understand Mother Nature's often oblique ways and (re)act accordingly so that we may create wines that express all that Nature has so generously given us. And all that this beautifully warm and sunny place called California has to offer. Wines that speak to the heart and the mind both. Wines that are ripe and flavorful, but also graceful and balanced. Wines that are perfectly enjoyable and delicious young, but that will age and show a new and interesting personality with each passing year. Wines that surprise with each sip and where the last drop - not the first sip - was the best one. Wines that make you smile and happy and appreciate all that is lovely. Wines that make you sense they were crafted by people who loved making them.

Aroma: This cuvée unveils a subtle aroma leading to an elegant, delicate bouquet of fine notes of red fruits and zest of citrus fruits. Palate: Its special method of vinification gives this cuvée a light, elegant flavour, followed by a fresh finish with a taste of raspberry. Serving: This rosé champagne is an ideal partner as an aperitif and can also accompany a dish of wild salmon or sushi. For dessert, it will add a sublime touch to red fruit flavours.
Ornellaia Le Volte 20152015 was one those years that every winemaker dreams of having at least once in his career. The balanced season with a warm and sunny summer, but with a cool, dry weather during the harvest produced wines that perfectly denote the seasonal trend. Rarely do we find a perfect balance between the various components of the wine, from the deep ruby colour, to the crisp and fresh fruity hints with an ideally meaty texture, supported by silky, smooth tannins, devoid of any harsh edge.
Francis Ford Coppola Diamond Series Black Label ClaretOur prize offering, the ultra premium Claret, sports a label that honors the first Cabernet Sauvignon blended in a Bordeaux style by Gustave Niebaum in 1910. Claret is a term originally coined by the British to describe Cabernet-based wines. This Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Malbec and Cabernet Franc blend is alluring and sophisticated; it is memorably lush with a tapestry of smooth tannins and succulent flavors of wild berries, plum and anise. Borrowing tradition of European wineries, we add gold netting to bottle to signify outstanding quality of wine.
Santa Margherita Pinot GrigioThis dry white wine has a straw yellow color. Its clean, intense aroma and bone-dry taste (with an appealing flavor of Golden Delicious apples) make Santa Margherita's Pinot Grigio a wine of great personality and versatility. Food matchings: Excellent as an aperitif, and ideal with seafood salads or pasta and rice dishes based on fish and shellfish. Also perfect with white meats, boiled or grilled fish and soufflés.
